Thankful Thursday and Black Friday

Thankful Thursday

Tomorrow’s the big turkey day, although, it honestly doesn’t feel like it! The hubby and I decided to take a little trip to Asheville, NC tomorrow for a mini (and MUCH NEEDED) vacation. (Stay tuned for a travel diary!!) It’s odd that I’m not frantically making pies this evening, but rather packing up and getting ready for a little road trip. In some ways, it’s nice not having to cook a full Thanksgiving meal for two people. We’re making our own traditions!

A few things that I am always thankful for are: my husband, my family, my work, my health, and of course, this blog! I hope that you get a moment to reflect on what makes your life ‘yours’ . With all the hustle and bustle of family, food, shopping, and everything else in between, a few moments of reflection can always bring you a little peace.

Black Friday

Honestly, I don’t like the name ‘Black Friday’- it makes me think of the bubonic plague or some other epidemic… (you could say that Black Friday plagues our psyche and our pocketbooks, but we can reflect on materialism at some other time)

Now, I took a little trip to the mall after work today, and it seems like everyone already has their Black Friday sales going on. I’m just going to share a few things that I have my eye on! Splurges included!

Spend your time with your loved ones if you can! Happy online shopping!
