A little something more

You know, I’ve been blogging for about 4 months now. It’s definitely fun, and I love planning outfits and writing about them. I mean, what’s not to love? It’s ‘fashion’ through my eyes, and it’s been a blast. However, to be completely honest, I’ve felt a little unfulfilled writing only about what I wore… and I’ve been racking my brain about how to add to more substance to it.

Truth be told, I had planned out a ‘random musings’ page for the blog thinking that I would brave my fear of sharing what I thought, but I chickened out. It was much easier for me to just focus on the clothes… Writing takes more planning and patience!

So, I’ve come to this point where I would like to share what’s going on inside that head of mine and maybe you will relate and maybe you won’t- but I’ll have grown a little in putting my voice on paper. It won’t be for each post, and I’m working on how to incorporate everything together! So, bear with me as I make adjustments! Keep a look out for some more writing!

IMG_5185.jpgToday’s outfit features the following: Top- Ann TaylorCutout Flutter Sleeve Top  / Bottoms- Ann TaylorFront Zip Leggings /  Shoes- DSWLevin Velvet Pump / Earrings: Kendra ScottClarissa Ear Climbers Jacket- really old!

A little bit about the look: I feel that every winter essential should include a good pair of leggings that won’t get ruined after one round in the washing machine. I’ve definitely found that Ann Taylor carries some of the best and sturdiest leggings. I recently added this pair to the closet, and the fun zippers in the front give it a little edge. I just wanted to add a little something about these shoes as well! They are velvety and ohh soo fresh! I can’t tell you how many compliments I got when I wore these to work and although they may not have been the right shoe type for a concert, they were worth the pain! Depending on how the light hits the shoes, you’ll get a different color scheme as you walk…(which I guess all velvet does, but whatever)!

Anyways, I hope your Wednesday ended on a good note!
