Fringing on Thursdays

summer chillin’ after work

So today’s outfit was a little less girlie and a little bit more rock n’roll… (hah!) As much as I love major retail stores, I also enjoy shopping at local boutiques. Nashville has an array of them and but many are quite expensive and way out of my budget! One boutique that I’ve come across that’s cute and affordable is Vinnie Louise .  They have a great selection of tops, shorts, dresses, and accessories. It’s refreshing to see something a little different, while still playing into styles that are current in season. I’ve visited their 12 South location a couple of times and they have not disappointed.  I picked up this cute top with a little fringe around the arms and folds that make the style a little different than what you normally see at the mall.  Never hurts to shop local once in a while!

A little fringe goes a long way!

I paired this tank with bright red pants to keep in with the summer theme. For the cold-office indoors, I just layered on a black cardigan. To complete the look, I went with black open-toe booties (DSW) and a long necklace that was purchased a few seasons ago (Kendra Scott). Here’s a similar one – different color metal, similar stone. This look is probably not your usual work attire, but my office is a little more lax on what fits within the business casual spectrum. The nice thing about it, is after a long day, you can slip off the cardigan and head off to happy hour! Thirsty Thursdays!

oh heyyyy

One more day left in this week long series for work outfits! It’s been a fun ride! Happy Friday’s Eve!
